Frequently Asked Questions

1. What time are your services?
We offer Sunday School for ALL ages at 9:00 a.m. with two options for our adult education. Following a 15 minute break, our time of worship begins at 10:00 a.m.

2. How do I get there?
701 N. Main Street in Central Square is about 200 yards north of the traffic light at the intersection of US Route 11 and State Route 49, on the west side of the street.

3. How long are the services?
Usually, our time of worship is about an hour and fifteen minutes. The time goes quickly as we have a variety of music, a message for young people, and teaching based on the Bible that will apply directly to your life.

4. Is there a dress code?
No. Feel free to dress in clothes that are comfortable for you. You can "dress up" if you want, or wear casual clothes. God is interested in your heart, not your wardrobe.

5. Will I be singled out if I'm new?
No. Our goal is for you to feel welcome and experience God in a safe and caring place. We have a time of fellowship immediately following our worship experience where you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with people if you choose.

6. What about my kids?
First Baptist Church of Central Square has an exciting Children's Church ministry where your kids will be taught the Bible by experienced adults using age appropriate methods. All our youth workers have had proper training. [To learn more about our ABYouth program, please click here.]

7. But what about my infant?
Our nursery is equipped with a crib, wipes, and is staffed by an OCC student who is majoring in Early Childhood Development. Her helper is a high school senior who will be entering a similar course of study next year. Our goal is to offer the best worship experience possible for you and your family.

8. What else is going on with your church?
Quite a bit, actually – and it varies somewhat from month-to-month. We publish a newsletter called The Witness every month (except for August) that helps keep our friends and members informed of what’s going on with us. You can access our newsletter from the link here on our website.
